Adam Amengual was born in Queens, NY and raised on the North
Shore of Massachusetts. His father gave him his first camera
at 12 and he started documenting his friends skateboarding and
getting into trouble. He went on to taking portraits of his friends
through high school. Adam then studied Photography at both Massachusetts
College of Art and Parsons School of Design.
Adam is currently based in New York City. As of 2007 he became
a staff photographer for Swindle Magazine. His work has also
been featured in New York Magazine, Mass Appeal, Beautiful Decay,
URB, Juxtapoz and Surface, advertising for Tank Theory, and worked
with musicians at Def Jux Records and Sony BMG as well as several
other indepedent musicians. Exhibitions of his works have been
displayed at the Massachusetts College of Art and The University
of Massachusetts Boston. Adam also was accepted to and attended
the Eddie Adams Workshop in 2006. He is now working on a long
term project based in NH. |
